As I promised another post with more great goodies and gifts from all over the grid. So lets get started.

It has been a little too long since the last post, so many things going on in rl but finally things have let up a little and so now it is time to get back to it. Luckily there are so many great events and goodies out there I have so much to tell you about.

 First the latest round at Stuff in Stock started 25th June and it is packed full of great bargains such as this Heartless Mona Shirt by Corvus. This mesh shirt with sexy dropped shoulder strap is also available in several other options. You can pick up this and more at SIS til 6th July. 

I would like to congratulate Seraphim on 2 years!! They work hard at keeping us all informed about current events and awesome shopping. To celebrate right now at the in-world headquarters there are many group gifts from designers all over the grid, including these hot leopard print night out mesh jeans by TuttiFrutti. Another great event going on right now is The Arcade. You can go and try your luck with fun and addictive gacha machines, loaded with tons of must have items from talented creators. Featuring everything from clothing, to house wears to skin and other accessories there is sure to be something for everyone. This gorgeous Ellie Gacha Rare #3 skin by Belleza is one of the items I picked up there. I was pretty lucky as I got this rare one on my first try! You can join The Arcade group and trade all your extras for the things you you really want. The current Arcade event ends 30th June, so don't miss out !! 

I would like to take a moment now to tell you about my rockin' photo props. It is with much sadness that Cupcakes announced recently they are closing their shop and sim on 23rd May.

Cupcakes has long been one of the best designers for cute, affordable skin and clothing. Also one of the most generous. In my first days I got a great start with all the wonderful gifts they offered in their bargain basement. One of my earlier much longer post 5 years ago,featured many of the goodies they offered at the time as a result they gave me the first review item I ever got as a blogger. Rosemary Galbraith and Mimi Coral are talented and will be moving onto their own individual projects and we wish them all the best and look forward to see their new brands.

The Sea Hole Closing Sale

Sadly another great and long standing shop in sl, The Sea Hole, is closing and from now until 31st May everything in the store is just $50L!!

 Drinkinstein Sorbet has been creating some of the cutest and most unique clothes in sl since 2008. I for one am a big fan of her work and will be sad to see her and all her wonderful creations gone. The good news is she is on to bigger and better real life adventures!! Best of luck in all the new things ahead and thank you, Drinkinstein, for what your work with The Sea Hole and Collabor88  has added to the sl of so many people. You will be greatly missed!!

Summer is Here

I don't know about where you live but here in my part of the world a proper spring is a little over due. A few times we have seen the temperatures soar only to crash soon there after with some bitter cold days. Luckily for me in second life, summer is here. While I wait for nature in rl to work out the weather I can enjoy a summer day anytime I like. Vibes beach is the perfect place to showcase all the great goodies I have to share with you.

In this video they show the shocking results of an experiment that illustrates the big difference in how women see themselves versus how others see them. We all know that sometimes we are our own harshest critic but to see it this way made a big impression on me. As a result I wanted to remind all my ladies out there that...

Foam and Water PARTY!!

Today is the start of Songkran festival, it is the time that Thai people traditionally celebrate new years. Water battles and foam parties are a big part of this celebration in current times. In the beginning they would collect "blessed" water that had been poured over Buddhas for cleansing.  Pouring this "blessed" water was seen as a sign of respect and to give good fortune for the coming year. Now the water is just part of the fun in the hottest month in Thailand.

  Today the good people at Rangsit University are hosting a celebration all day. Swimsuit dress is suggested, and there is a free swimsuit available from MAMD if you need one. This celebration will be going on all evening long so be sure to stop in for some of the fun.

As some of you may or may not know recently The Worlds End Garden was just renewed and reopened and as a gift they are giving out this adorable Comme des Fleurs~printemps dress it comes inside a bottle of stars with special pose from O-turun. Death Becomes Her... Not

Being of a sort of male-ish kind, I have struggled to understand why women have embraced the bitch/whore/slut labels with their traditional derogatory meanings. But then, of course, there are no positive or even neutral words for a woman that demands the right over her own body, is there? *shrugs*
I've been sitting staring at this for days not knowing how much to include or how to put it in words. My interest in the Whore Couture Fair has been for mainly 'intellectual' reasons and for me the equations presented has not been resolved exactly. The place is full of very powerful fem bodies and almost eerily devoid of men, which makes the few existing references to guys the more puzzling. The few that are there are totally calling the shots.

I suppose the bottom line is quite simple. Women and even the law might have changed towards gender equality, but as far as the male culture is concerned, the changes appears miniscule, IF they exist at all. Even if women feel empowered endorsing their inner 'sluts' and the right to behave 'badly', men tend to look at them through the same old eyes of the same old patriarchy and the result tend to be the same old nasty. This has finally been acknowledged, however. The guys that's on the forefront and joining the cause to stop violence against women are probably doing more than all legislation together to change attitudes on the streets. 

I know, this post is coming out all weird. I channelled my inner asshole for this and did some 'deep exploring' together with a friend. We quickly entered pretty frightening territory (and some pretty hot) and were left rather unsettled. That's why it's just me on the photos ^^ 

To sum it up: I can't help feeling confused with the mixed messages at the Whore Couture Fair. I happily accept there might be something I'm too blunt to pick up as well. 

Beside all this thinking material, there's a long list of freebies and dollarbies to pick up at the fair, several of which are real keepers. I'm aware I'm probably the last blogger to deal with them but so what? Above are my picks to illustrate my 'story'. I'm only giving links to stuff I know is still available.

Pink Thinkin'

I'm thinking about spring time... which makes me think of flowers... which makes me think of pink...

 It's no secret that I love Tameless Hair and this style is no exception! Tess is the perfect length bobbed blunt cut with sexy side swept color-change bangs. The yummy cocoa base-color and hot pink streak perfectly compliment this sensual Glo skin in Tequila (bare) from Dulce Secrets. She's tanned and ready to show some skin... Simply divine!

 Since we're being sassy I thought I'd add a little lingerie to the mix... of course DirtyLittleSecret never disappoints. This group gift for the month of March is so sweet and (as always) it's beautifully textured! You better run in and get it while you still can!!

 Good shapes are hard to make and almost equally hard to find. Why be unbalanced when you can pop on over to Bellisimo Shapes and grab this lovely Deana petite(ish) gift shape!
