Stripes have been popping up all over the grid lately + we fashionistas have been gobbling 'em up like the fresh roasted turkey meat that we's a-gonna be enjoying in a few weeks. With stuffing + sides. Yum.
Twisted & Spoiled's newest group gift is this striped deep V-neck tank + these superlow-slung, unbuttoned jeans. I'm really digging this dark, smoky plum color. This store's gifts are always so generous (typically including an accessory or three); this time it's a corded leather necklace with cute beads that totally works with this casual look.

I've been liking the body "glow" on the free Bishwear skins + this one is no exception. (It's hard to tell, but the dark eye makeup lightly "runs" at the corners -- such a smexeh touch). I love how this warm, light latte skin tone totally works with today's $50L Fridays hair from Lamb. Aren't these heavy fringe bangs supaflirty? I love today's stripey scarves from Artilleri for $50L Fridays. You get 2: the peachy melon + the silvery blue/cherry combos are so yums.
In other news, I have found my new favorite shoe: the brand-new open-toe "Boudoir" bootie by Kalnins. OMG do I heart these. The heel-to-shoe ratio is pencil-thin smexeh and I drool over these luscious, suparealistic textures. The color-change HUD is the joy for those of us who love to obsess about color details. *drives me-self crazy with seemingly infinite color combos nom nom nom*
The next Ode To Stripe is a flirtatious green number I found at SK Designs. This sexygear store has bordering-on-scandalous designs + a whole discount area on the top floor near the lucky chairs. I paired this sweater with the playful, raspberry-striped Strayer scarf, complete with little-girl star patches + large stitching seams. It's superflowy when you wear it too, which makes wearing it way fun.
This $50L outfit came complete with pretty thigh-high striped wooly socks. The ribbony stripes are so pretty+ I love the bare midriff. Who says winter has to be practical? Not me! I also added shiny black stomping boots + this free supacute gold-striped "corset purse" from House of Sanu.
Winter Moon's store closing has many people shedding a few tears, including moi. *sniffs* Everything is now $50L + there are some good finds here. This $50L "Scrum" dress is ripped in multiple places + even comes with its own holey stockings. I've been living for these Fishy Strawberry torn net ones however (love how the long, single seam crawls right up the hiney) so I paired those with this dress instead.
Don't even get me started on these N-Core superhigh schoolgirl heels with ruffled white anklet socks. I've had them forever and they are still. The. Smex.
We never do this, but Gavin + I did the matchy-matchy thing last night. I'm wearing a free Djunk dress that's not new, but still remains one of the hands-down fiercest stripey finds right now (aren't these green & gray stripes delish?) Definitely go grab it if you haven't already; it also comes in several other eye-popping colors. (While you're at it, scoop everything else, at both locations. Everything. Is. Free. Your inventory might not thank you, but you will feel drunk with power).
Gavin has been eyeing this black & white striped polo from Sey + he finally scooped it last night. Doesn't he look amazing in it?
I love Sey's edgy-yet-elegant styles, especially for men. Something about their designs makes the hipster thing look totally flawless + elegant. This black belt is spot-on with this look (good job G! Hee). Gavin finished this look with his fave SoReal sneaks.
Too bad we didn't come upon any giant striped candy canes last night. We did, however, discover some giant striped pink teddy bears at Tigerclaw (another everything is free store).

Vargas Girl

The lure of the Vargas Girl is all about sass + class. This retro pin-up girl look is sexy yet sophisticated, without showing too much skin.
Vargas' lush girls inspired such a fantasy escapism for his WWII-era times. Here's my rough approximation in front of this sparkplugs poster. Hee.
This vintage leopard print bodysuit was a total find at WigBamWam's $50L + under everything sale. (Grab it while you can, before the entire store goes bye-bye on 11/13). I paired it with these Maitreya black velvet ballerina platforms + Noju's lace-up ribbon socks (this lovely nude shade has quickly become one of my favorites).
What I love most about the Vargas Girl look is the voluptuous, sultry-not-sleazy feel. See how this just-naughty bottoms cut does peachy things for the buttie.
I love to channel this worship-me-I-am-female 'tude every day. Particularly when I am singing/posing/dancing where no one else can see. Like in front of my mirror. Tee hee.

Style Diary: Accessories by YourSkin & YourShape

YourSkin & YourShape created quite a buzz on the blog circuit last month when it gifted their absolutely fabby turquoise shoes + purse from its Illetes series. This month the free group gift is a chic black-and-white print purse with gold buckles. There's also a free double-ropes white pearl necklace and free matching earrings set -- both featuring shiny oval silver hardware loops -- that are to die. I really love how this store does the metal hardware parts so realistically.
These black lace-trimmed cuffs capris are free at the Burt Laundry store, which is permanently shuttering its doors and currently having a $30L + under everything sale. These coquettish shorts are so worth the 15 min camp. I paired them with this narrow, crimson-colored belt that I found at Kosh (6 colors are included for $10L). I personally have not found too many thin belts that are well done, and I really like the mini pewter-colored buckles and metal tipping detail on these.
Gavin and I were exploring the Torridwear store last night which I think is hands-down one of the coolest builds I think I've ever seen. You can stroll down a lit-up runway, chill and shop in the "backstage" curtained-off area (littered with several $1L gift bags, with everything else on sale) + scoop the 2 free pose gifts. There's even a movie theater refreshment stand. We noticed our gray-toned, black and crimson-hued looks were somehow fitting with the boudoir-like decor + we were inspired to snap some pics.
Torridwear's couples poses are sexy yet sweet, i.e., totally fun to try out without feeling like you are breaking some public decency laws. (Not that I'm against trashy behaviour per se, but there's a time + place). As you can see, Gavin has a natural flair for drama.
Gavin is wearing one of the nicest men's gifts right now, the 2-tone gray free gift from Samsara. This simple, block-color style is clean and modern, and the short V-neck is such a classic look for men. My crimson corset and black lace top comes from an exquisite minidress I found at Inimitably Design. The lace-up back and highly-detailed, wrinkled textures are simply gorgeous, and the lace texturing on this piece is hands-down some of the finest lace work I've ever seen on the grid. (Btw this top is fantastic when layered underneath a corset; you get a peek-a-boo lace bodice effect which is sooo sexy. You can check out that look here).

The hair I'm wearing is one of the brand-new styles from Hair Oh, a boutique which is quickly becoming a new fave of mine. Love the elegant, coquettish styles there + how even the newest designs are a very reasonable $100L.

FreeSexyCool: The Plastik, Magika + Maitreya

After the hunt + costume madness that was Halloween in SL, some really cool gifts have surfaced on the grid this week. If you haven't done the Trapped in the '80s hunt, do it. This free giant hovering vinyl record seat from Concrete Flowers is reason enough. It spins you round 'n round. In the immortal words of Dead or Alive: "You spin me right round baby right round . . . Like a record baby, right round round round. . .". I totally heart the cheesy synth madness that is '80s music. Here I am chillin' with my Rubix cubes (two, unsolved) and Butterfinger (loose, still wrapped). Such insane things are hugely necessary in any life.
Check out this free giant color-changeable Legos seat from Mudhoney -- another Trapped in the '80s hunt gift. Comes with lotsa built-in poses too, like this chillax one here. You wouldn't think it, but giant pink Legos are very well-suited for lounging.
I was doing the Changing of the Seasons Hunt when I happened to see one of my favie dresses from this summer being given away for free on the The Plastik's lucky board. This killer dress comes complete with near-scandalous decolletage + an even more daring barbed wire belt. I also love how the dark teal hue being gifted is such a flattering color on all skin tones.
As part of the Changing of the Seasons Hunt, Magika is gifting this free winter "bobble hat" hair with sexy long ponys trailing down either side. These free black pump-boots from Maitreya that everyone + their mother have been parading around totally channel Prada for me so I heart them much. And here are those brand-new boy sox from Naive again. Their cam-worthy, micro-detailed ribbing textures are downright yum.
YV's silver-rimmed Lady Gaga-like gloves + Kosh's free adorable "vinyl record charms" bracelet capped off this look. And the mouth razor blade? Just seemed like a badass touch. Didn't hurt at all, either.
Hoops are essential wear for toughie chicks + my beloved go-to jewelry store U&R Dogs has put these free gorgi oversized ones in their 10-minute camping chair this week. Finally, this simple, fluttery white feather necklace that I found for $1L at the (now over) Designer's United showcase is so smex. You know something's good when you want one in RL. I just love posing in impossible places. Zooming up 20 stories to pose provocatively on a narrow steel beam? Eh, no probs. These pictures were shot in Sick, hands-down one of the most eye-popping cityscapes in SL.
All this high-altitude posing set my tummy to rumbling, so I skipped over to RazzBerry for some tasty yummies, like this jumbo maraschino mouth cherry. Not sure why this pic looks so naughty, but it kinda does, doesn't it?
A grilled cheese sandwich and giant chocolate chip cookies followed. Stop it, rumbling tummy!

Pink Triple Threat

Pink is the ultimate girlie girl color + sometimes I just can't get enough of it. Whether a rich berry fuscia or a paler carnation hue, this feminine color totally touches me in my special fashion place.
House of Hucci has become one of my go-tos for elegant yet provocative dresses. I love how the clean simplicity of these designs totally turn the hardcore sexy into something elegant. A perfect example is Hucci's newest minidress: a wickedly short number that inches up on the hip and sneaks up just past the butt, yet feels sophisticated+ modern, and of course fits like a glove. Oh Eboni Khan. Your clothes make us feel like such 21st-century take-no-shizz goddesses.
This simple, striking design (and playful color) is such a perfect canvas for whimsical accessories, and there's tons of superfun gifts now. Love this free handheld iphone + these free adorable Rubix Cube, Magic 8-Ball and vinyl record charm necklaces. See how these black fingerless gloves, rimmed with silver or gold metal, totally channel Lady Gaga? And the brand-new Naive double-striped boy sox are just the ultimate in tomboy smex. The lucky board at Americamura has been packed for this superfeminine sweater dress with Miel-like ruffly miniskirt. Paired with the free ultra-large "L'isle Joyeux" hoops from my beloved go-to jewelry store U&R Dogs, this look is full-on winter comfy cute. And don't even get me started on these free Mary Jane boots from The Dominion. Not only are the ribbon + strap parts color change, but this style is just the perfect blend of coy + classic (see a larger pic of these fabby boots below in the credits). Ahhhdore.
Sascha's Designs has got to be one of the grid's most generous stores: once you become a group member, you also get each prior month's gifts for free (look for the wall near the giant red arrow). Me, I'm not so much the formal ballgown type o' gal. But when I spied this stunning top -- which OK, is maybe a smidge revealing -- I knew it was create-a-pink-look time.
The wrinkled texturing on this top is yummie + I love how the dark berry spaghetti straps totally work with the bottom of that same dark pink Hucci dress for a versatile, non-gown look. Aren't these bowtie stockings just precious with this ensemble? The Vinyl Cafe/The Dominion is one of the best groups to join for generous free gifts + I find myself constantly wearing their stockings. Just to keep it from being too matchy-matchy, I slipped on these brown multi-textured lace-up boots (featuring these thick, sporty stripes) from PixelDolls for that extra smexeh touch. In general I find that life is all about those li'l special extras.

(Free) Strumpet Mode

I was innocently strolling around the grid when my friend Rene Caerndow spotted me + called me a "tasty strumpet." According to Rene, the term "strumpet" means "like a sassy tart, but cuter" in (the Queen's) English. Lord love the British.

Here's what I was wearing that day, plus 3 other strumpet-y dresses, tattoos + jewelry looks that are nearly all free or $1L. And the background? Just the free kick-ass photo studio group gift from Lithium. Love!
This free purple minidress from LP Design is so fierce. The silver stitching detail + "open heart" buttie cutout (rimmed with cherry red) is just too much. In a good way. In the words of RL stylist supreme Rachel Zoe, I die.This much exposed skin screams for hawtie tats, and I remembered this striking freebie back tattoo from Cyanide. The thigh gun is the former I>3 Rien lucky board tattoo gift; there's an Ace card and gun on the thigh + the words "Power Doll" etched across the tummy. I totally heart sassy tattoos.

This black dress by Hyper Culture is one of the best finds on the Mix & Mingle Hunt (which ends today, so hurry if you haven't grabbed it yet). I agree with Rene that the just-peeking-out buttie (from underneath the lace edges here) is very strumpet indeed.
The black canvas of this dress really makes your skin + eyes pop, and I have fallen in luuurve my new fave eye store: Negoposi. It is such a gem for anyone who loves shiny, glowy, luminous eyes like moi. And get this: all eyes are $30L each. Amazing!
There are some really cool freebies/$1L gifts at the Designer's United II showcase (the dark "crow" theme is so lovely), like these $1L Djinn & Tonic earrings: check out the teeny tiny crow dangling from each oval faceted stone. Keeping it casual is a must when trolling the grid so I slipped on SoReal's meticulously detailed sneaks, which might just be the the absolute perfect carnation pink. The level of detailed texturing on these sneakers is simply eye-popping. (For me, SoReal does for sneakers what BAX does for boots: sets the standard to beat for super-realistic textural detail). Finally, I've been wearing these $1L tough-girl finger tapes by Luck Inc. to smex up everything.

I'll give you strumpet. *smooches Rene*These sexy, slouchy Miel socks + the fun Sey pumpkin handbag had me at first glance, so I gladly jumped on the orange-and-black bandwagon and created this look to go with. This triple mini-pumpkin ring is so adorable, and I also adore the mini candy corn earrings. It's a bit hard to tell from this pic, but the skirt on this striped Solange dress is really unique: the skirt is made of individual "feather"-like pieces that flutter out when you move. So pretty, especially with this unique "white ink" tattoo. Here's the black and gold version of the same SoReal sneaks too.
All this orange put me in a contrary mood, so I donned some silvery rocker hair + other silver stuffs. This shaggy 'do is just as suuuupaflexi as it looks.
Atomic's pumpkin hunt is giving away some gorges skins, but their bat tattoo gift is also supacool. I matchy-matchy'ed it with this Alyssa Bijoux bat charm necklace. And these free furry black booties with stiletto heels are just darling, especially with black slouchy sox.Back to the free Lithium photo studio for a sec: this thing is so awes. The graffiti backgrounds are tres smex and it comes with props boxes that you can move around. It also comes with 4 poses, but my boo Gavin McGinnis and I were having fun playing around with the Diesel Works Halloween gift (a super generous collection of past poses gifts), including some naughty couples poses. Here's Gavin and I proving once and for all that there's nothing sexier than sprawling out on barrels full o' toxic chemical laxatives.
Gavin won this "SHOW ME YOUR BEWBS" T-shirt from the Atomic lucky chair and thought it was funny. Personally, I was reminded of the signs that shirtless dudes liked to raise above their heads while clutching beer and shouting things at girls while zooming by in pickup trucks. On the freeway.
