Flash's Tiddler

Someone stole my photo for an advert! Okay, "stole" may be a bit harsh if I'm honest, what with "someone" being my good lady Lyrilen and her telling asking me about it. See, she runs a photo gallery called Show Me Yours and was planning a pet exhibit, so she got all excited when I blogged myself drowning in pets. As you do.

But despite using me in her adverts I rarely actually give her photos to display (a boy needs to get his blog on don't ya know?), but she told asked me to today, for the Pet Show obviously! Lucky for me, I've been all hyped up about the Skate N Surf Hunt (which you should be seeing more of as I get time to unpack everything) and one of the gifts was a wetsuit from the good folks at subVersion! Perfect for playing with my pet Tiddles!

Now people say that goldfish have a 3 second memory. Unfortunately Tiddles wanted to play for more than 3 seconds so I started to struggle to breathe which got kinda important kinda fast. Luckily back in days of yore I picked up some goggles on a hunt at Reek, which sounds great until you realise eye protection doesn't actually help you breathe. But doubly lucky I have a snorkel from the lucky board at Kibas (the goggles there were a bit small for me though, hence the mix 'n' match to compliment the Skate N Surf [Edit to add: They may have a resizer script that I missed in my excitement so...]) so finally I could play and breathe!

So why not try the Skate N Surf hunt. But if any of you trying hunting Tiddles there will be trouble!

Velvet Running

Wow, it's been quiet here. Wanna know a secret? Certain people felt intimidated by my awesome last post and they tried to stop me! I am not kidding, they've even been trying to keep me off the grid, but I'm back. I mean, I have to be careful obviously, they are out to get me after all.

So I've gone underground. I'm on the run, dodging the bad guys and keeping my head down. They'll never take me alive! And hopefully not dead either...

My future may be dark, but as a group member at A:S:S I've been given a new identity. The name's James, James in the velvet suit. Sure, there are snappier introductions but that pesky Bond chap has a big trademark which just ruins it for everyone else. Anyway, group gift goodness (200L for the group fee, unless you joined in the free promo slot when it started) dressed me for my life on the run as you can see. The Navy is free but there are 7 more options for just 159L each which is astonishingly good. I was debating supplying a T-shirt to go with it but it was raining and I am not the best choice for a "Wet T-Shirt" blog, plus my chest sees so much wax it's waterproof anyway.

Luckily I was able to sneak about yesterday and pick up another bargain, aDORKable have a stall at Menswear Monday where they're selling 10 Dapper Dork poses for just 100L, an offer I couldn't resist - I mean seriously, Dapper Dork? Did they name that set just to appeal to my vanity?

Pig Lover

That's right I said it. I am a Pig lover. If you swing by the shop I am sure you will be too. I love the great casual wear and cute designs I would rock in rl. Right now, I am not sure for how long, everything at Pig is on sale for 50L each!!! So head on down and load up. They also have some cool stuff for guys so be sure to take your man. This Helendale jumper from Pig in Azure is one a many cool gifts they have out all over the store. I love the lacework inset that is on this jumper front and back, also the sweet shoulder ties. This jumper comes in 6 different colors and are all 50L a pop!! What are you waiting for?


This week I lucked up and found all kinds of goodies. Like this cool Melissa hair gift from Logo, these gorgeous Moroccan Nights eyes from Poetic Colors, and this yummy Sophie skin(here in soleil) , group gift from Exodi. I really love this skin and I look forward to the new one each month. The group is not free to join but still worth every linden especially when every month you get a new skin that is worth the enrollment fee and then some. Learning to fly

Good Morning

Like many people my first interaction with others each day is a simple good morning. However this morning conversation seemed to drift to other aspects of our morning routines. Being both famously lazy and easily scared some people felt there was a potential danger to waking up in bed with me, so I thought I'd explain a few things with the help of the Perfect Couple Hunt.

See, hidden away at Boathouse is a, rather useful, houseboat!

Yep, I can just roll out of bed and make my way over the edge of the boat and, erm, top up any water that evaporated overnight... It's wonderfully easy and quite bracing and refreshing I must admit. There's nothing quite like standing on the edge of a boat first thing in the morning with the waking sun caressing your skin. Oh yeah, skin! We do try to keep things vaguely PG here (okay, some more than others) so I figured I should cover up a little for the photos, and luckily for me I've just picked up these funky white and gold boxers from Vitamen - it's their monthly gift for May and pretty impressive!

So there you have it, proof that I am indeed house[boat] trained, and that I can be trusted to make myself [slightly] decent in public. A big surprise I know, but yeah... I'm halfway civilised!

There are times when we can all be given to the dramatic,but that is not always a bad thing. The Flash Mob

Flash Mobs are everywhere these days, from protests to just plain silliness, but they usually fail to include one very important aspect - ME! How can you have a flash mob without Flash? It's just... wrong! So, to right a wrong, I gathered a few people, I asked for volunteers in group chat, in fact I asked in the wrong group initially and no-one seemed keen, then I asked in the right group and found out I can apparently just grab people randomly! That rocks!

So we all went and got these amazing free coats from SF Designs. Male and female, and free for May! This is the gift on the grid right now in my eyes.

The next dilemma was where do you do a Flash Mob photoshoot? Well... You know how pose stores always have big signs saying "This is not a photo studio - no snapshhots allowed"? Yeah, I'd like to thank the good folks at Embody for... well, going to sleep! I have to say, it is way easier to smuggle six Matrix wannabes in for a covert photoshoot when the store owner has just said "goodnight" to you.

Erm, yeah. Give us big leather jackets and we break the rules. That vendor behind us? It's for "The It Crowd". Pfft! Like they can compete with The Flash Mob! My posse grabbed the poseballs from right under their noses! Wimps! You just don't mess with that much leather and skin I'm telling you now! As the leader I just adopted the casual Superhero pose they tried to hide in the store, because my mob was too big for their crowd!

Nuff respect to the mob; from left to right we have Marg-OH!, Darkberri, Hodaya, M-Fishy, Foxhound Fauna, and Phoxy Paco! And of course, putting the Flash in Flash Mob, moi! Top marks to everyone, especially given they all had better things to do (including sleep).

I should technically point out my pants are the His Style gift from LNL, although I'll confess I cast a few jealous eyes over Manu and Paco's leather pants from 22769 (one of them's a group gift there). My boots also came from the His Style hunt but I was zooming into the female skin so much I kinda cropped them by accident...

Cherry bikini madness

Probably my favourite bikini of the month, I will wear this one for a while. Go get it for Free at DeeTalez, it's the #10 prize from Where is... hunt. Thanks Steffi.

I See No Hats!

Something I love about hunting is usually Midnight Mania boards are way more generous, so despite doing the His Style hunt (first impressions, good hunt - about 40 stores so nicely manageable, some nice mind benders and some good stores and gifts) I have been collecting a whole bunch of freebies too. And yes, this morning I won one which I was really excited about - "Like that hat I saw at that wedding..." by Abundantia.

Not everyone can pull off a hat like that but Beatrice and I are that cool, so I think I'll take a photo to send her. That's to the good people at Embody's new pose I even had a nice picture frame I could hold up to save time and money on framing the photo properly! So I grabbed the Ethan Blazer outfit that DragonLady's Closet put into the His Style hunt and got posing. And then...

You know how you try to take a nice serious photo and someone always wants to muscle into shot? Well Bree there figured as it was posh hat day she'd show off her bargain buy from LaGyo Mademoiselle, a Vessel Headpiece (which I hate to say I am a little jealous of). They've got a bit of a bargainfest happening there so for all your nautical types it's worth a visit, also for those of you who want jewellery and non-nautical hats I guess, but that's just madness... Who knows, if your hat is sufficiently cool or vicious looking I may not even kick you out of my picture frame.
