Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva

It all starts in Real Life when visiting a temple in Tamil Nadu in Southern India devoted to Lord Ganesh. My friend/guide says : 'We begin with an invocation to Lord Ganesha - he of the single tusk, whose vehicle is the mouse and he who penned the Mahabharata with his own hands'. I shut up, although I'm trying to imagine an elephant on a mouse penning some mysterious creature and I DO want to ask, but I'm trying to control my practical European thoughts. We give Ganesh some apples and incense, everyone else bows a lot, I'm just here watching. It's about 386579 degrees in there and I'm melting like ice-cream on Brad Pitt's tummy.

Then we go to see the local Elephant outside, and NOTHING prepares me for the size of it, seeing it on TV does not even help imagine. I adore elephants, they're as big as gentle. The rickshaw driver tells me 'If Elephant not bless, bad Elephant'. Poor thing. I'm trying to blog stuff I do in RL, the crazy thing is that you normally have more options on SL, but regarding India, it might well be the opposite. I'm off to Jaipur next week. Fasten your seat belt.
